First Trip O' The Season
Went up to Mansfield Hollow on Sunday (4/17) around 11:30AM to look for some pike. Windy, but not too cold. Water was high, and the Fenton River that feeds it from the north was running in pretty fast. Near the boat launch there is a culvert that allows access to small craft like canoes and yaks into the southern part of the lake. Thought about it when I got there but decided to stay to the north since it was my first time. Good thing, 'cause by the time I got back to the boat launch (around 3:30PM) you might have gotten a toy boat through that culvert, but not much else. Didn't catch anything, but I didn't see anyone else catch anything either.
