DANBURY -- The Danbury Fish and Game Association will have its 40th annual Kid's Fishing Derby May 21 from 8 to 11 a.m. at Danbury Town Park on Hayestown Road.
Kids have the opportunity to win prizes and trophies at the free event, and lunch will be provided.
The organizers plan to have professional fisherman Adam Singer make an appearance, as well as representatives from the Department of Environmental Protection and the state police DARE vehicle.
No registration is necessary; children can just show up to participate. The derby will be held rain or shine. For more information, visit
