alewife herring

alewifes are being caught at barts in Windsor, there this morning checking out the river and 3 guys fishings from boat launch and catching them all around 6-7 inches.........river very high up the beaches at farmer browns, shore fishing about impossible, boats no problem all the way to fast water

Alewives are a protected species and you cannot keep any!!! Call the DEP poacher's tip line.

just mentioning they are here and thee big strippers will be heading up the farmington soon...........know their protected

I don't know if the "strippers" are protected but any guy who "gets" one better be!

I always liked my strippers on the petite side.
