Come celebrate the fun side of winter! Internationally renowned ice carver and former national champion Bill Covitz and the snow-making experts at Ski Sundown, one of Connecticut's premier family skiing facilities, partner with us this year in presenting a fun-packed weekend!
No where else in Connecticut will you find, all in one place, such magnificent ice artistry, high-flying aerial stunts on skis and snowboards, lovable Siberian Husky Dogs, and Lyman's great food -- all bundled into a full weekend of family fun!
Indoor and outdoor activities also include all the free food samples you can eat, a Sculptures, horse drawn wagon rides, sled dog mushing demos, and much more!
New to the event is the Rail Jam Exhibition sponsored by Ski Sundown. Installed on the Apple Barrel grounds will be a portable ski jump and terrain feature on which athletes will perform tricks.
In addition, we're keeping the event open until 7pm on Saturday night, so you can enjoy the opportunity to view Bill Covitz's amazing sculptures illuminated after dark!

Watch Bill Covitz his team of carvers transform 10,000 pounds of ice into a Winter Wonderland Under the Sea, with mermaids, coral reefs, sea turtles, mantarays, and King Neptune on his throne!
Rail Jam Exhibition & Contest
Sat: Noon - 2pm; 4pm - 6pm. Sun: 1pm - 3pm.
Observe the athletic prowess of Connecticut's best skiers and snowboarders performing tricks on a ski jump! Signed waivers required; parental permission required for children under 18 yrs. For more information about participating in the Rail Jam activity, please contact Ski Sundown at 860.379.7669.
Outdoor Food Concessions

Fruit Tree Pruning Demonstration
Sat/Sun, 10am - 12noon; in the orchard
Employing correct pruning techniques has a direct impact upon the health and productivity of fruit trees. In this two hour workshop, you will learn special pruning techniques from our experienced orchardists. Hand-out materials are available. There is no charge to attend this demonstration.
