Anyone ever fish Meigs Point at Hammonasset beach before. I haven't fished saltwater before & am interested in getting into it. I was thinking of trying Meigs point sometime- my kids love the beach, even in the fall.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Also, I forgot to mention I'll be using a heavy freshwater spinning rod & reel. I'm not quite ready to spend the $$$ on a salt water set up. Would this type of gear be O.K. in the beginning?
