I paddled up to Hamberg Cove from Essex Saturday. I wanted to get the rust out of my joints. So I took the scenic route. I paddle just under 9 miles according to my GPS.
The fishing was slow. I did not catch anything with the fly rod. I did see 2 fish caught, by a fellow kayaking flyfisherman. I only saw 1 other caught by the power boat guys. He said he snagged it on a Fin-S fish. I only marked and witnessed fish being caught by the kids camp. Just in front of the caneo rack. The water is still cold. I hope in a few weeks things will warm up, both the temps and fish.
