Just moved to area and looking for local spots for evening fishing and weekend outings. I don't have a boat, so limited to shore fishing.
What tackle works here?
I've tried a few already and have had very limited luck with my current gear, so I'm missing something...
Been to:
- Salmon Rver, no luck with Trout, zero, zip, nada
- Wethersfield Cove, a few smallmouth but otherwise nothing
- Mill Pond Newington, a few bass and the obvious small fish
- Trout Brook, West Hartford, nice rainbow 20"! On crawler.
- Hollow Lake Mansfield, missed a pickerel and bass, no luck yet
Any thoughts, advice, recommendations is greatly and humbly appreciated!
