Took the afternoon off from work and arrived on the Farmington close to noon. With no signs of surface feeding trout, I dredged with nymphs. Picked up a three trout on the nymphs, but the hits were few and long between. Moved a couple of times in the up river direction hoping to find Hendricksons. Did see a sparse hatch come off about 2pm, but not enough to interest the trout. Some caddis were also hatching, but drew no surface feeding activity from the trout. A nice day on the river, but the fishing was slow.
