I hate the winter so i was looking to do some winter games. One thing i was thinking about was finding the most lubriciously priced products you run into while stocking up for the spring. I was looking for some fall swim baits and ran into these. They come very highly recommended but i could never stomach the price
i was looking to try the smaller ones. I had ideas of the 2.5 inch but i can just see a pckerel swim away with my bait. I was looking at getting a 4" wicked perch to try first. I figured if i start small i might be able to catch more and build faith in these types of baits. The point was something to do during the winter, so i just posted them because there cool, but stupid expensive. Check out the prices on epay for the same baits.
what sizes and colors do you have? I was looking at perch due to my luck with other lures. I was also considering trout. Maybe i should start a swimbait thread as i would like to know more.
sexy shad and rainbow trout are the colors that I throw.
They don't make a four inch rainbow unfortuntaley. But throwing the 6 inch rainbow and letting it falland then cruising it back in slowly has produced well for me.
When I pick colors the more simple the better, half the time the compaines are trying to make the baits more apealing to the customer than the fish lol.
i took out my 6" bbz and threw it for a while on the lower moodus. I had planed on fishing pike so i was running a steel leader. No bites but i only launched it 15 or so times. What type of leader are you using? I was considering 30-50 lb floro but i dont want to hinder the action. The wire leader i dont think was doing me any favors.
i consider myself a fishaholic and i paid a decent price for a daiwa steez rod. A lure for that price here in the north east just begs a pike to ruin your day.
