Should I even bother to go out this weekend? I'm sure going to the Thames will be a waste of time, but I was thinking of trying a pond for some pike. Anyone else going out this weekend?

Weather looks like its gonna be too nice not to. I just haven't decided where, yet. I've heard that even some of the ponds and small lakes are so high that you can't get into parking lots to launch.
My sister lives in East Lyme, and she said that the entire parking lot at Pattagansett was under water.

Yeah i can just imagine. I was thinking of hitting Pachaug. I know Griswold has extensive flooding, but an not sure were. I may go for a ride one of these nights, to check it out. It's going to kill me to not take it out this weekend! If the ponds are a no go, thinking of hitting the sound, but hear that Westerly got flooded too. Barn Island ramp may be tough too. Not sure what to do! uuuuggghhh!!!! I JUST WANT TO GO FISHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I guess my trip to pattaganset won't happen. Pachuag might still be able to launch the boat. Steep ramp there. I thought of barn as well, but with all the fresh water, it will ruin any chance for flounder. Who knows, might end up in Moodus. I'm going somewhere.

You should definitely go out this weekend with all of this nice weather. I know I will probably be hitting Lower Bolton, Red Cedar, and Pickerel. Hopefully they wont be like Jakey's basement Very Happy
