I've been fishing up in Scotland on the Shetucket river for Salmon, but havent seemed to have any luck. I've seen people pull them out of the river there, so i know they are there. I've tried a bunch of different kinds of spinners but don't know really what else to try.
never met a fish that did not love a crankbait. If your in a shallow section try a very realistic pattern on a square bill like the kvd blue gill in the 1.0 size. If you need to go deeper then try a glass shad rap. You could always try a drift with a jig, they use pink and orange a lot up here. You could always use a grub on a jig head. Vary color and weight for success.
