Here is the deal.

I will be chartering a Pollock trip on the Eastman's Lady Merrilee Ann III located at Eastman's Docks • River Street • Seabrook Beach, NH
On the 13th of November it is a Friday.
If you have never been on a Pollock slam trip in November, if the fish cooperate which they normally do, this will be a trip that you will never forget.
I plan on this being a 10 hour trip, 6-4 something like that.
The fee will be $135 per person, I will be including a pool or pools for the biggest fish included with that price. I will not be over loading the boat with fisherman we will need room for coolers and coolers of fish. I don't enjoy being packed in tight on a head boat I expect to hold it at 35 people max.
While beginners are very welcome, this really is a trip for the more seasoned ground fisherman, again beginners welcome!
I or someone else will be happy to assist you in the gear you may need for this trip. I may pass this duty off to someone to help me out.
I will be managing this trip and will be making decisions sometimes on my own if I just need to make a quick decision, but for the most part if something comes up and I have time I will bring it to a vote to those on the list.
I will be asking for payment in full by a certain date, probably be the middle or end of this month, this money will be non refundable if the trip sails and you and/or your guest cannot make it for whatever reason. If the trip is canceled and a make-up date is not possible your money will then be returned.
Find the sign up list here under ground fishing and post up that you want to be on the list, if you would like others to join you just tell me how many and guest name(s).

I would like to see some of you guys from the site sign up, be nice to fish and meet some of you face to face.
Don't wait too long, it may fill up quicker than you think.

I'd like to check it out it but this year ain't happening for me,maybe next time.I have a question and this is going to sound really stupid but I know nothing about this,What does "ground fishing" mean?Where does that term come from?I don't know,it just sounds odd to me.Thanks Lung.

Hey Carp, be real nice if you could join us, hopefully something will change and you can come along.
While never having been ask specifically what "Ground fishing" actually is, I will give you my description
The term ground fishing to me basically is just that, taking a whole clam and sending it to the bottom, the type fish typically caught while ground fishing are cod, haddock, pollock, monkfish, redfish, wolffish, and cusk. The fishing is often done in waters between 100' and 350' also Viking/Norwegian style jigs can be used.
It also means certain area's (grounds) fishing the inshore ledges or the offshore waters of Stellwagen and Tillies Banks Cox's ledge etc just to name a couple.
On this Pollock trip in November, it will be all jigs, no clams.

It's official the deposit has been placed for the 13th of November we will be fishing as long as mother nature cooperates.
This is a 10 hour trip, boat sails at 6 AM returns at 4 PM so there will be plenty of time for fishing.

I must say I am a bit surprised at the lack of participation on this site for this kind of trip.

This would be a great chance to meet other anglers from the site, have a good time and catch some Pollock, for those that you who are not familiar, these fish fight like hell unlike cod but taste the same as cod in my opinion. It's a great chance to stock up the freezer with fillets for the winter.
Jump on board with us, bring a friend or two or treat your dad or brother to a day of awesome fishing.
