I cant stand it. Just enough ice to screw me up on the still waters and my equipment freezes when i go to the river..... Any body know any kind of fish that i might be overlooking for this time of year? I feel pretty dialed in as far as catching trout goes but what else could I do at the river. I want to catch some big cat fish or something maybe. Can I make that happen this time of year? My plan for that was maybe under the stevenson dam but i dont know what kind of fish are there. My real goal would be channel cats. I heard the conn. river would be good but thats kinda far for me plus i've never been there fishin. Any body think Naugatuck or housatonic river has channel cats somewhere? Or maybe pike from the river somewhere? Any ideas?
