Got to the lake and got out it was 37 degrees outside the truck. On top of wearing longjohns, sweater and my heavy workgear coat I put on the cor-tex rain gear as well. Now I'm ready to fish. [ I must have a missing gene ] Water temp had climbed to 44 from last week. We headed to the big point and worked Jigs for about two hours before Bob hooks onto a fish about 2 lbs. Loses it at the boat. At 12 a 1 1/2lber takes my crawdad and we'er off to a hot streak. [ yea right] Then at 1 Bob has a fish follow his jig back to the boat and it cruises by me. Looks like a pickerel it was so big. There goes the money fish. At the weigh in 7 teams had one bass apiece and the winner found a honey hole and sat there all day. Limited his three fish at 7.64. Cranks fished slow and jerkbait didn't produce only dropshot or working the bottom. Hope it warms up next week.
