What does everybody think of Fireline Super Line???

I've used it for years for fresh and saltwater. That and powerpro are on most of my rods. For topwater I like a copolyomer. Don't bother with the crystal color as you can still see it. Go for the smoked or grey.

I have two of my bait casting rigs filled with fireline the smoke and the white in 14 lb and 20 lb and they cast great & are super strong. The only problem with this line is when fishing rocky areas the abrasion from the rocks is severe and I have had fish break off from not re-tieing..other than that its pretty good for a dental floss looking line

Idea FIRELINE IS GOOD AND IS MY FAVORITE LINE ,BUT AFTER A WHILE IT GETS FUZZY. TRY STREN SONIC BRAID IN 2/8 OR 3/10. DONT OVERFILL THE SPOOL OR YOU'LL GET LOOPS.MAKE SURE YOU PACK THE LINE ON THE SPOOL REAL TIGHT. ALSO GIVE YOURSELF A 12 TO 18" LEADER OF 10LB TEST MONO TIED TO YOUR MAIN LINE WITH A UNI KNOT AND ATTACH A SIZE 1 DULOCK SNAP. THE SNAP DOESN'T HURT THE ACTION OF THE LURE OR MAKE THE FISH NOT BITE, IF YOUR USING HORIZONTAL LURES SUCH AS SPINNERBAITS ,BUZZBAIT JERKBAITS ECT. IF YOUR USING WORMS OR JIGS TYING THE LINE IS YOUR BEST BET Go Fish

This year I gave flouro carbon a shot and was not impressed. I do like flouro as a leader for fireline, but your knot skills must be on point. I liked it for flippin and pitching but for every thing else like worms and cranks it kind of sucked. I did however go against the grain and use it for topwater and you get sub action on zara spooks which is awesome instead of buying sub walk baits. Sonic braid is also a great line. A lot of people seem to be fishing 8 lb nowadways but I cant get into it im afraid of fish breaking off and when you get stuck in a branch or a log in the water 8 lb just snaps. with sonic braid and fireline I have ripped branches off trees and pulled logs out from the deep.
