Westport Outfitters, a fishing and boating store at 609 Riverside Ave., is offering seven free seminars during March and April.
The first seminar, "Trophy Striped Bass on Live Bait," takes place March 5, while the seminar schedule wraps up April 30 with "Fishing South County, R.I., and Beyond."
The other seminars being offered are "Shore Fishing the Western Sound," "Light Tackle Trolling," "Fishing Jamaica Bay -- NYC's Hidden Jewel," "Basic Outboard Service Tips/Tactics -- All Seasons Marine Works" and "Norwalk Islands Light Tackle Primer: Maximizing Your Time on the Water."
"This is the sixth season we have been doing this," said Westport Outfitters owner Eric Johnson, "And on average we will have about 100 participants in each class, which would indicate that the public really looks forward to these each spring."
