I enjoy watching the shad at Bosher's dam in Va.

Been keeping an eye on it, today is the first day I have seen a lot of shad coming through. It has begun

Pretty cool. Went to UR about a 2-3 miles from the dam. No shad cam, or even a fish ladder as far as I know, back then. Shad run was better on the Rappahanok at that time. They allow dipping down in VA, which is step away from throwing in some jumper leads.

Looks like the Lamprey's are spawning too. Lot of action on the cams compared to normal

I witnessed a trio of Sea lampreys making their way up Dickensen Creek, off of the Salmon River once. It was pretty wild; I had never even seen a live lamprey before. They began making a nest just down from the wooden bridge that spans the creek below the viaduct. They sure made a lot of racket!
