Norwich, Conn. —
State biologist Steve Gephard on Tuesday answered the question of whether Norwich is a viable location for year-round sportfishing before he even said a word.
“Sportfishing in Norwich: A Good Match” was the name of a presentation he gave to the City Council during an informational meeting to discuss the issue.
“There are a lot of things happening in the harbor, that’s great for tourism and great for recreation,” said Gephard, a fisheries restoration biologist with the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. “It’s a year-round asset.”
