Anyone catching blues or stripers consistently fishing from shore from the Ct river and west into the sound?
I am going to try tomorrow, just curious if I should expect to catch something or just plan on enjoying the nice weather

Fished the shoreline from Black Point to Harkness this morning on the incoming tide (about 4am to 8am) in my little boat. Pretty big rollers kept me from really fishing Black Point, but the rest was scattered taylor blues. Haven't seen many stripers caught in close the last week+. Maybe try Stonington/Watch Hill Point if you want a change of pace and eastern fishing, or somebody will come up with a western update. Just haven't heard a lot of good shore reports. Anyone else?
