Couple days old , but better late than never.
Four trips, lots of nice bass with a couple of memorable ones. I figured tonight was my swan song for a while. Time to move along to the next spot. 5-9:30 on the water. Jig and texas senko at the fall basin for the first time in deepest water here, about 15 feet. Lots of 1 pounders. I bailed out after an hour to top water the rest of the area. I could fish frogs, buzz baits and jitterbugs all day long. I like the visual. And the slam is the best.
That's when it lit up. Good night all in all. Best was a 4.2 pounder that slammed a frog. I tried a double hook for my frog tonight, but it's too much of a cramp to keep positioned. I'm going back to single 5/0 wide gaps with screw.
This shot is a pound and a halfer, but it's a good one of the frog and the shiny double hook in the flash. It was really dark by this point.
I've had a lot of fun here, and I'll be back. With all the 4+ pounders, I'm sure there's a big fish in here somewhere.
