wow that sucks but if your in the buisness and thats what you do for a living then those are the brakes. I did not say they were punished on top of the confiscation so not profiting from an iligal catch seems right.

They likely won't be fined or anything. The fish was a byecatch of netting (which I don't like) and they didn't try to unload it under the table. Once it's dead, it's dead so they should be allowed to bring it in without getting fined. It would be nice if the $$$ went to the local fish managemnt budget, but it will likely disappear down some bureaucratic black hole.
