If your in the market for a life vest you may want to give the Mustang Deluxe MD3183 HIT Auto-Hydrostatic some consideration. I got mine last month and was dyeing to try it out. I hit the water for the second time wearing it over a sweater and jacket and it was great. This is the worst case scenario as far as Yaking goes. Bulk is a PTIA when trying to paddle and fish while seated. I put it on when I got in the boat and took it off after my son was playing with the inflation mechanism inside burger king at our late lunch. I forgot it was there and it felt like part of my jacket. They are not cheap but for me, being class II and having the protection of it not going off in the rain as I fish all conditions it was money well spent. Here’s to a safe spring!!!!
I do find it entertaining that the directions recommend using the preserver to familiarize yourself with operation and to get 2 spare kits at 64 dollars each that's some serious cash.
