As we approach the ice fishing season was wondering when we may have first ice here in CT?? My guess is 3rd week of December. Whats your guess?

western part of the state 3 week in dec.
eastern 2nd weeek in jan

I don't know about your favorite "Eye" lake having safe ice Bob, might have to settle for some smaller ponds up in the northwest corner till January...but you never know. Once it starts let's hope for a nice long season.

looks like we might be on the ice earlier than expected.i was hanging a deer in the barn last nite and my pond was singing away

WOW singing?? I have seen some light ice cover on some smaller places but nothing that would be singing..NICE
Looks like we have a bit of a warm up coming this week though.
