Second return trip, trying to figure this place out. Again with the baby bass, went threw a whole pack of hula grubs and must have caught 30 LMB all about 10 inches. As evening came on i ran out of grubs and threw on my last blue beaver tail. What a diffrence a bait makes. Four casts in and i nabed a 16" LMB. Seems like about time i caught something worth talking about. The rowing teams are out in full force, and must have been chased off Gardner by the power boats. The rowers are just fine,, but i could paddle slap the idiots on the Jon boats yelling in a bull horn and making all kinds of wakes!!!!
Powers Lake is a 144 acre body of water popular among fishermen in East Lyme . The deepest point in the lake is 45 feet and the shoreline drops off quickly. This limits the littoral zone to the edges of the lake and three shallow coves. The shoreline is undeveloped except for a Yale University School of Engineering laboratory on the southeastern shore.
