Meriden, CT Fishing Report

Q River Gorge

Typical summer early evening fishing break along the Q River Gorge in Meriden. Less than 1/2 mile from my front door, this is my sneak out to relax destination. Nice for some panfish and trout. There are few places that hold the trout through the hottest days, and I try to bring them in, revive them and send them on their way as quickly as possible. At the end of this section is Hanover Pond, a decent spot for largemouth.
