Comment: Are there still any open hearth stone grill pits near modus reservoir?

My dad used to take us there, to fish, in the 70's.

It was a spot, located at an intersection, where they had stone grills across from the lake.

He Was a WWII Navy vet who past away in Feb of 2020.

We'd like to visit that spot again on what would have been his 98th birthday !

Any suggestions on where this particular spot might be?

Would be greatly appreciated, Thx !

Comment: The launch for the lower or dam section has a very bad road, and the weeds are crappy. Tried to run a square bill crank and it still got hung up a lot. The upper section was much better.

Comment: The location details has SMB but its not on the list and i did not get any. I have caught LMB, Perch, and pickerel.
