• my bait of choice for deep bass fishing in this spot is bouncing crawdads off the bottom or carolina rigged pumpkin seed power bait worms
• spinner baits or buzz baits or small rapalas work very good here. live shiners hooked through the nose casted and retreved with a small split shot 6 inch in front of it works good too
• a good choice of bait for highland lake is shiners down about 13 feet with a weight to keep them down or nightcrawler allways work good too!!

• decent spot, watch for shallow rocks, about 10 to 12 feet beyond the point, very acessable with a canoe
