PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL MEETING ON 2010 RECREATIONAL SUMMER FLOUNDER FISHERY MEASURES
The DEP Marine Fisheries Division is holding an informational meeting to hear public input on proposed approaches to meet the mandatory harvest target for the 2010 recreational summer flounder fishery.
Connecticut may relax regulations in response to a 35% increase in the 2010 harvest limit under the provisions of the Summer Flounder Fishery Management Plan of the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council and the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission. The Department is seeking input on various options that include changes to the open season, creel limit and/or minimum size.
The meeting will be held at:
7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 10, 2010
DEP Marine Headquarters Education Center
333 Ferry Road
Old Lyme, CT 06371
Take I-95 to Exit 70 to Route 156 south, turn right onto Ferry Road, follow to the end.
The Education Center located at the rear of the property.

If the meeting is anything like the ones in the past it is all a dog and pony show, they already know what they are going to do. They only have the meetings because it's supposed to make us feel like we have a say and they are interested in our input. None the less it appears they may loosen up the regs a bit
