I'm looking for an application that can give me GPS and tides according to my location...for safety and all around better fishing.
I know there are lots, but I am losing the race with technology and do not even know how to download such apps to the phone. Only if they are from the Iphone store, it is not a problem. Most other apps are online and say download, but then what? In the past you needed a cord that went from the lap top to the phone...Now I see bar codes and phones apparently can snap a shot some now and you get the app that way?
Anyway, just looking for such an app and how to get it on my phone.

Navionics for the gps/navigation. You pay $2 for almost the same info you get for $200 in their chip for Hummingbirds, etc. It's an awesome app. Also NOAA provides a ton of weather, I have the HD Radar and lightening strike indicator and one called Buoy Data. The APPs puts info that used to be reserved for guys running big boats right at your fingertips.
