The one that got away

Today I was at Crescent Lake in Enfield
Fish all day to no avail
Largies smallies catfish are in the lake
I catch a 5 to 6 lb largie with a lunker city salad spoon
as i'm reeling him in through dozens of lillys I get him about a foot away and he jumps up and is off I reeled him about 60yards and gone


anyone else got a story

I almost won the lottery but forgot to play. I almost got laid but staid home. I almost got a promotion at work but called out sick. Try Try Try again and u will suceed! LOL! Sometimes things don't work out while fishing but I wont admit to it! They don't call it "Fish Tails" for nothing!

yeah, I was fishing on a boatlaunch and almost got skunked, but a 3-4 pounder, probably a smallie got hooked. about 2 ft from the shore he spit the hook. I also got a huge white perch once and he broke away when I was washing him off for a photo.

Almost every time i go fishing the one that got away "was the big one" . The last couple of days i have lost more fish than i caught its a bad time.
