combined lures?

Anyone ever try combining lures? Like a small phoebe with an extra split ring trailing a similar color small blue fox whip tail? Just an I'm thinking of testing out.

I use a 1/2 oz jig for a weight on my drop shot rig for bass works good. Don't tell anyone.

In the july/august bassmaster magazine on page 23 they talk about a coaxer rig its a spinnerbait with a crankbait on about a six inch dropper line. they say it works because the bass think the crankbait is stalking the spinnerbait and they sense the vulnerability. I have never tried it but just read about it today.
