With the turbulent weather we have had lately, and the hurricane out at sea, I'm thinking the best bet is to try the river. Any suggestions?

Can't help you with the river but the next 2 days look pretty nice to me on the sound.
The mouth of the Thames should provide you with just about anything you would be looking for since fluke is closed

I agree that the weather looks to be improving, but if you really want to fish the river and you're trailering your boat from Brooklyn, there is a boat launch downtown in the Norwich Harbor.
Hopefuly it won't snow anytime soon.

I'll pass on the Norwich ramp. Really don't like the idea of parking on the street. When I got to the river, I use the Montville ramp. Puts you just about in the middle of the river. I will have to keep any eye on the marine forecast. I would prefer to hit the sound, but will use the river as a back up plan.

At one point today, they were calling for 1 to 2 foot seas in the afternoon. Hopfully it don't change again, unless they have a "glass" rateing! Smile

That would be my next choice. Been there, too. Just figured the Norwich area is a little less driving for you.

Driving isn't a problem. Well that's if my teenage boys can get their butts out of bed early enough! Wink
