Jeremy River Baits and Tackle

Dry Fly Check Prices

  • Caught using a yellow haired caddis ~#16 size.
  • Caught on a yellow sally size 14. Had a bite using a yellow and red streamer.
  • Used a tan caddis #14 or so size. Such a small fish, probably not even worth recording, but oh well at least got something. Took quick photo and let em go.
  • Yellow drakes and orange/yellow sulfers.

Nymph Check Prices

  • A cross between a pheasant tail and a copper jack.
  • Nymphs, muddler minnows, and black ghosts all returned results
  • Green nymphs worked well.

    Also had luck with white streamers, muddler minnows, and zonkers.

  • We had the most luck fishing with muddler minnows and black ghosts. Also had success using green and white wholly buggers. Stay below the surface this time of year. Blue winged olives and other mayflies could be a good option as well.

Jeremy River Description

9 inch minimun length on trout downsream from grayville road to salmon river

The Jeremy River begins at a drainage just north of Holbrook Pond about 1.5 miles east of Gilead, Connecticut and runs for about 11 miles to the Salmon River. There are many swamps and marshes along the banks of its northern end the largest of which is 1.5 miles long.
