Pickerel Lake
Went kayaking on the lake with my cousin, hot and sunny day. Water was cloudy, a lot of garbage in the water; tires, barrels, etc. Never fished here before, but saw many bass fishermen going at it, none of whom seemed to be having any luck. A homemade sea-plane came in for a landing on the water, scared the hell out of everyone on the lake. Overall, poor fishing: a few bites, one small bass. Used 4" smoke/black flake senco, a few bites on a green grub.
1 mile down the road there are 2 ponds babcock and pine meadows
just turn right on a miles standish rd after a bridge on rt 16 way better fish in there nice bass pickerel and yellow perch
