Review: Carp..just got around to reading your report...Hooks SUCK when you bury them in your finger. I had 2 incidents this year so far.
First was during the striper run, was fishing a Danny swimmer, I was with 'The Shark' and Tommy, was unhooking a 26"r it went wacky, I lost control of the fish and it sent one of the hooks of the treble into the bottom of my little finger and out the top in the middle of my finger nail. No time for analyzing, I grabbed a pair of needle nose that were right there, cut the hook on the bottom side of my finger, grabbed the pointed end sticking out of my nail and pulled it through. Wrap finger in rag...keep fishin!
Next episode was with tbob, we were finished fishing and packing up some how I don't know exactly what went wrong, I buried one of the hooks of the treble of my rapala
x-rap into the side of the tip of my middle finger, after my first episode this was a cake walk.
After tbob refuses to pull it out for me, I procede to grab it with the pliers and give a quick hard yank..hook out!
So I can totally sympathize with you in the hook stuck in finger.
