I would like to attend the get together but it all depend on how things go threw out this semester. Im still in college so put my name down and if I cant make it I will let you guys know as soon as possible. I have fished Holbrook once with great success with lung and would enjoy meeting all you guys… The 19th is good for me as I don’t attend any of the fishing shows other than the one at the big E and thats feb 24-27 which is now over priced and nothing but venders trying to get you to book trips rather than when it used to be a lot of venders trying to sell their inventions or products.

So with that being said 19th looks the best for me.

Posted Thu Jan 27, 2011 3:26 pm

Those two tupperware lids might work as snow shoes for your 140# frame....however I just received my handcrafted a specialty shoes that will allow me to glide across the top of the snow like a high powered sled

i would be happy to be the first out... but you cant blame me if the base camp i pick doesn't produce for the rest of you Laughing

does anyone know how the ice is? i know it will be safe but i am wondering how much water is on top of the ice i haven't been out since last week and we had 3in of water on the top of the ice fallowed by a foot of snow

Nate,Nobody said anything about letting you pick homebase site.Us old guys are only going to trudge so far and thats it.Besides, who cares bout fish?I am just there to party,And as far as Lung gliding across the top of the snow....we aint stupid,we all know that aint happenin.

Never having been ice fishing, how does all this rain affect the "outing"? Or does it at all?

Depends on the weather leading up to the event, I'm not sure how much rain they received in Hebron..at any rate if it was today, it would most likely make for a sloppy hard to move around day...snow as the top layer with 6 inches of slush on top of the ice would be my guess.

I live by Hollbrook and I noticed that they haven't plowed the road since a couple storms ago.

I was wondering about that TB, I know a lot of ramps are not done, definitely not on their priority list. Could be a problem

Yeah, same here lung! I put a call in to a guy on another site who lives near there. He said he would try to drive by to see. Have not heard from him. Glad you drove by TB.

Any thoughts???
