Thanks Carp, lately the night bite had not been very good for me, there had been times when it got dark and the bite turned off wasn't that way last night though.
Generally speaking fishing the river at night is very peaceful, the wind usually shuts right down, and you can see and hear any fish breaking.
Make sure you have some kind of lights Carp so you don't get run over in the yak.

Mac...if your gonna give the striper thing a try...now is the time, you definitely have to make time for that, when it's over it's over for another year.

Yea Juice the Robalo is a bit too big for the river up here, been fishing in 2 - 3 feet of water at times, was in my 17' Grumman which can almost be too big at times when the water goes down.

tbob you going to get out there one of these days or nights or what??

You don't wait for nobody tbob, last night was the first time I have taken my boat and that was a last minute thing due to Matt having truck issues, I have been being a boat ho myself, don't wait on me. Most of my trips are not planned, they just happen

Hit the river in windy conditions late yesterday on the SS Grumman just before dark before it layed down like a mill pond. a handful of schoolies and then Mark the shark was interrupted last night with this damn by-catch walleye Laughing
